Without a better place to put this (yet), noting here. This first appears in the 2020 (Alan Lee) illustrated text when it was reset, and it continued into the 2021 (Tolkien) illustrated Deluxe and Standard editions (including the US release).

On page 857 (The Pyre of Denethor), it currently says "But his wisdom failed; and fear that as the peril of..." => "But his wisdom failed; and I fear that as the peril of..."
