I do remember people saying 2019 was a bad year but things would get better. Somehow it feels things have been getting worse instead.
And 2022 certainly has not been a good year so far - and to lose this charming, hospitable, and kind person is a huge blow. I will never forget how she welcomed me into her home in 1994 and made sure that my first ever weekend in Oxford remains to this day one of the most memorable times in in my life.
