Very interesting. Movies make up dummy books, too. For the film "Romancing the Stone" (about a romance novelist who falls into a real-life romance adventure) the studio made a dummy of her book (with jacket, cover art, and a few pages of text, to be shown on screen) plus advertising posters for all of her previous books (I worked on these) and other materials. We don't realize how much promotional material is created for a real book, when it all has to be recreated for a fake book and fake author.
