Not a great episode for me, the attempts at humour don't really work very well in the episode, the 'Warg' looked like Ray Harryhausen stop-motion, but his were far better. The only section of the episode that I really liked was The Houses of Lore.

You speak more favourably than I
Trotter. Sadly even the HoL couldn't enthuse me. I especially disliked the age old "this was no chance meeting" with Halbrand. I passionately dislike that sort of thing in film and TV.
Three episodes in I am able to say that I find myself oddly neutral to the series. I don't hate it, but couldn't care less if I missed it.

I enjoyed the episode on first watch. Need another watch through to have detailed notes, but my general thoughts so far:
Positive:
- I like that they are not trying to follow all the various threads every episode. This gives the few they do focus on more time to breathe and progress without being too choppy.
- I am liking Elendil quite a bit, and his family dynamics look to be quite interesting. Miriel is a good Queen Regent so far.
- The Harfoots are growing on me, especially Poppy.
Not as positive:
- Not a lot happened here, much groundwork still being laid out.
- Galadriel is still not showing any wisdom at all. I know they have five seasons to show her progression/maturation, but given that she is already thousands(?) of years old, I would think there would be at least a hint of her eventual wisdom evident, maybe?

I'm going along for the ride. Loving that we have great new content to experience, exploring an interpretation of an era that's been hidden away for so long.
I'm loving that orcs are no simple "one strike and they're gone foe". The episodes evoke curiosity, fear, and awe - that's gotta be a good thing.
