My copy is signed by the editor, Anne Etkin. Does anyone know if she signed all copies?
My guess is that I bought it in the late 1970s from the Corner-Stone Bookshop in New York State, via one of their mail order catalogs. I used to enjoy perusing those chatty catalogs, but (alas) seem stupidly to have discarded or lost them. If not from this source, perhaps I bought it through Baltimore's T-K Graphics, which also issued mail order catalogs.

Well, I have an unsigned copy, so she missed at least one.

OK, thanks.
Would it be OK if I started a thread on old mail-order businesses here? It would be kind of a tangent, but perhaps relevant enough, since I suppose for many of us longtime Tolkien readers, such businesses were important in the building of our libraries/collections. I'd at least be interested in reading about others' experiences.

Dale Nelson shall I change the name of this thread then or will you start a new one?
By the way, I managed to secure a copy of Eglerio via the Facebook group, and like Beregond's copy, it appears to be unsigned
