In the future please do not speculate without evidence and pass it off as fact or "the most likely outcome" if you have nothing to go on. Looking at what a publisher has done in the past with other volumes outside of the series talked about here is not helpful and only spreads misinformation. It does a disservice for members who come here looking for accurate info.

I asked HarperCollins about the UK release of The Children of Húrin in this style.

• The Children of Húrin will be getting a red paperback cover in the UK as soon as the current black stock has sold out, probably in January. Our new range of Tolkien paperbacks will all have the signature at the top, whereas Morrow have it at the bottom.

So I’m right?! Nice!
