I bought The Children of HĂșrin from HarperCollins in the new 'signature' style. You may get the old black edition if you buy from other resellers still.
I don't want them.

All three have pencil illustrations by Alan Lee.
Pencil illustrations, but none of the full-color, full-page illustrations correct?Trotter wrote:

I assumed that would be the case for B&L and FoG since they got new ISBN numbers and CoH reuses the same ISBN from it's non-illustrated edition.
The new WM âGreat Talesâ paperbacks. Pretty identical to the HarperCollins ones with a few subtle changes.

A little disappointed by how plain these are. I like the pop of color, but I was really hoping for a metallic finish there, or gold foil instead of yellow. Not loving the flat red either. I was planning to get these, but I think I'll pass now.
Would anyone in the UK be kind enough to buy this book (the maroon CoH) and send it to me? Over the past month I went through all the resellers in and/or shipping to Germany and got the old black version every single time (even though they all advertised the maroon cover. Damn HC ISBN policy.) My shelf needs this.
Edit: I ended up ordering from HC in the UK and having the book forwarded to me through forward2me thus paying a ridiculous amount of money for a regular trede paperback. Well worth it, though.
