The illustrations for all three are different sizes and on different paper, the Folio Society has the best illustrations, but I like both of the other editions. Hard for me to pick ones I like better.
Thanks Trotter. Would love if HC released a big coffee table size art book, with Lee, Howe, Nasmith, and anyone else they could fit in.
I have to say, looking at Trotter's pictures of them all laid out, HC really have done a good job of taking Folio's original design (which was always really problematic to my eyes - quarter-binding proportions all over the place, odd colour choice, big for the sake of a big price tag, extremely fragile cloth, 1970s Readers Digest spine design [yep, subjective!], etc) and made the same basic theme look genuinely good [also subjective].
Not sure when I'll get mine (has shipped from HC to the UK folks), but I look forward to receiving them. I will have the in-laws check that the correct three books are present and do a quick QC flick-through for me, though, as I seem to be especially unlucky when it comes to dodgy copies (and that included the Folio 2022, which LEGO cocked up in three different ways with the set I was initially sent).
