The weekend is upon us, and March 25th is just around the corner (Monday)! Due to the fact that Tolkien Reading Day falls outside the weekend again this year (as it often does) there will be a few events over the weekend that might interest you.
The Tolkien Society is having their events on Saturday March 23rd - three separate times across the day so you can hopefully check at least one out whatever time zone you are in.

On Sunday, Jordan Rannells will be having a marathon live streaming event with lots of guests doing reading samples from
The Two Towers. I will be doing the very last few paragraphs of The Choices of Master Samwise to close out the book! The event starts at
Sun, 24 Mar 2024 5:00 PM GMT and will run for around five hours I am told. Hope to see you there!

Tolkien Reading Day 2025 Event Logistics
The Tolkien Society Discord is very excited for March 22, 2025) Tolkien Reading Day event! Please find information regarding how to access the event below:
The Tolkien Reading Day event will be occurring in two channels of the Tolkien Society Discord Server: tolkien-reading-day and Tolkien Reading Day
To participate in reading a passage aloud or listening to others read, please utilise Tolkien Reading Day . Please note that this channel is a voice channel, meaning it automatically utilises your microphone and has video streaming capabilities. However, all members are encouraged to participate in a way that makes them feel most comfortable. Please refer to this guide for further information on how Discord voice channels work. Note: Channel guests may not be automatically muted when joining the channel. Please ensure your microphone is on mute so as not to speak over presenters upon joining (information on how to do this is within the linked guide).
To participate in writing/chatting please utilise tolkien-reading-day . This channel acts as any other text channel and has the same features. Note: You can listen to the TRD voice channel while typing in the TRD text channel.
