I like that... would buy it right away, but leave the honors for Parmastahir. If he is not interested, I am! Love limited prints...
With thanks to Dior for the tip and Beren for deferring to me (I am honored by both), I will decline the limited edition print. I must be selective in what I bring home. My wife would (fill in the blank) if there were even a hint that I was expanding beyond the calendars!

Alas, I am in a period of retrenchment, else I would be interested in it. I have neither enough money nor enough shelf space - hence all the sales on eBay, with another dozen or so to come once my digital camera has been repaired.

Just an added note - the seller in the auction listing mentions having "a few" of these available, and has sold at least one through eBay already - so don't hold back, if you want one go buy it!
(wellinghall) Fancy freeing up a tiny bit of space by selling me that 1978 Silmarillion 'dummy' variant you have!

I'd consider the right offer, Khamul - email me at andrew at avro707 dot force9 dot co dot uk if you are interested

2009 Heren Istarion/Northeast Tolkien Society Calendar!
If interested, you can check out the 2009 Heren Istarion/Northeast Tolkien Society calendar at:
http://herenistarion.org
You can find a link to the calendar and ordering info in Main Menu (fourth item in the left-hand column.) Jef Murray has provided cover artwork and sketches. We have two new illustrators this year: Catherine (Kasiopea) Chmiel and Colin (Bungo) Williams. Kasiopea is a well-known illustrator from Poland. Bungo is an amateur (in name only!) from Australia.
I was so proud of the 2008 calendar that I was worried that the 2009 could not possibly live up to it . . . this in spite of the fact that I had lined up Kasia and Bungo as the illustrators (and love both of their works.) I need not have worried. I got a proof of it from my daughter last week and it looks GREAT! I am REALLY happy with it!!
Proceeds benefit HI/NETS. Last year's calendar was so popular that membership in HI/NETS is now free.

I am really looking forward to seeing the 2009 calendar. Just as a side note, Anthony mentioned that he has a few of the 2008 calendar left for those who missed out on it. Great artwork, and a great collectible too! Just get in touch with him if you are interested at

Hi Soronel -
Thanks for the tip and looking out for such items. I already have this one in my collection. Need to find the time (and some sunshine!) to photograph it and add it to my website.
To all -
The printer at my daughter's firm broke down last Friday afternoon as I was planning to meet her on Saturday to print the 2009 HI calendar. Now that it has been repaired, we are printing them on Friday night. So will be getting the first orders into the mail next week well in time for Christmas (even if you live in Europe.)
