Father Christmas writes to Christopher. Written on 20 November, FC remarks that he will not be sending his messengers out until October 15th. He says that he sent his reply Christopher by express post. He says that Polar Bear is still asleep and that he will tickle his ribs to wake him up.

He includes a post script that the messenger must not stop along the way.
