Yes. I didn't paid a lot, not a few pounds, but £60 at auction on ebay. Those days, and regarding the conditions, I think that's a pretty good price

Yep, I think that is a reasonable price for such a nice copy.

I thought that reviving this thread would be fun after over a year or so as some newer members might not be familiar with it. Lots of great stuff has been posted here over the years. Anyone else recently come into something in fantastic shape or have something hiding on a shelf they want to share? Bring it out, what do you got for us?!

A recent acquisition. 1956 First Dutch Edition of the Lord of the Rings (with an Invitation to the March 1958 Hobbit Dinner in Holland at which Tolkien gave a speech).
