Haha I know, I was so offended by the cutting of that mount that I couldn't joke
I know the seller (bought from him, and sold to him once or twice), he's not the original owner on that set.
Picked it up for a steal years ago without the slipcase, inquired after the fact if the seller had it and that's what they sent him after the fact. Apparently the original owner didn't like the height difference caused by the slipcase so they cut the top/bottom off. No clue why they didn't just put the slipcase away, or toss it entirely.
