LanceFormation and I have dubbed this listing the Zombie Hobbit, the listing that won't die. A badly repaired 1st Ed. HMCO Hobbit. Quite possible (those who may remember) that destroyed copy that was in two pieces with pages ripped out that was sold on EBay for $1500 a few months ago.
We've been watching it for several weeks...was originally $2900, then was sold and reappeared at $4500, then disappeared and reappeared for $4000, then disappeared and has now reappeared at $3500…and oh ya, not the same seller either.

I knew the price of wood has gone up but the cardboard ... waow ... makes this cardboard box the most expensive ever made (I won't talk about the books which are pretty common) ?
