§ 12.037 A3a, p. 226, «"I have no idea at the momnet [...] » > A3c, p. +5, «"I have no idea at the moment [...] » This was corrected in the 2nd Impression 1937

Interesting, that's the first time, as far as I know, I read about a (textual) change made in the 2nd impression.

Thanks for pointing this out, I missed that post; p. 31 (§ 01.116) would have been invisible to me (restored in 5th I presume?).

Of course they are different though: § 12.037 momnet>moment is a voluntary change to the typeset, while changed > chan ed is probably a defect.

It was fixed in the 3rd Impression.

Trotter LanceFormation Stu anyone else, do you have a 1st impression of the 1965 Ballantine paperback (A3f)?

I'm curious because Hammond records these:

(§ 01.031) p. 21 «"So you have got here at last!" what was what he was»
(§ 01.080) p. 27 «more fierce then fire»
(§ 03.031) p. 60 «uncomfortable palpitating»
(§ 03.034) p. 61 «their bruises their tempers and their hopes»
(§ 10.042) p. 192 «dwarves good feeling»

I have a 2nd & 5th impressions and my readings are

(§ 01.031) p. 21 «"So you have got here at last!" was what he was»
(§ 01.080) p. 27 «more fierce than fire»
(§ 03.031) p. 60 «uncomfortable, palpitating»
(§ 03.034) p. 61 «their bruises, their tempers and their hopes»
(§ 10.042) p. 192 «dwarves' good feeling»

These match my first impression copy, yes.
