We don't get cool versions like this in the US. Do you know if Waterstones international shipping is good? Blackwells is almost always terrible, and amazon is a gamble. But I haven't tried Waterstones yet.
I don’t know about Waterstones, but have you tried direct from HarperCollins and their Tolkien section? They’ve arrived nicely packaged when I’ve used them.

I love my local independent bookstores, but we could really use a U.S. equivalent to Waterstones (or some Waterstones locations over here). Every time I go in one, I'm reminded of how deficient our chain bookstores are.

The HC website for the US is awful. This specific edition of the hobbit doesn't even show up on the website when I search for it. I think HC just mainly relies on distributors to move books, as many of the tolkien works that they still currently have in print do not show up on their website.
The UK editions aren’t sold in the US, you can only get them from the UK HarperCollins site. Only the William Morrow imprint editions are intended for the US market.
Went to my english bookshop in Paris today and managed to find the last 15th printing of the Hobbit. I was surprised to notice 16th printings alongside the 15th, meaning they've been already reprinted. Maybe this 15th printing will become elusive in the future, considering as fast it has been reprinted. We might have another story to add after the '66 sixteenth printing 😅
I only noticed two 15th impressions on the day I bought mine. Both in different shops. One of them was sitting next to a 14th impression, thus the older design. Perhaps your right and it has been a very small printing?
I ordered on amazon.de yesterday and received the 15th impression matching the 2022 edition of the LotR today.
