Hence the low starting bids on all three, would be good candidates for a rebind.

I'm overly glad I got my copy last month for less than half the price. :)
Other than a great sci-fi classic film, what is forbidden planet? And why on earth are they throwing a bunch of stickers on the bare DJ?

Forbidden Planet is an international book/comic store (locations in London, New York, and maybe elsewhere). They had a special launch event for signed (Brian and Alan) copies of The Fall of Númenor, one of the very few places people not able to attend in-person events could order online both signatures for this book.

They oversold the trade edition and either canceled orders, or offered to get bookplates and ship later (if they were able to arrange). Looks like they eventually did get the dual-signed bookplates.

So I'm relatively new to collecting, and don't have any signature pieces of any kind. I also don't have a lot of disposable income for older more prestigious pieces. Is this something worth getting since its only around $70? Or is this kind of a gimmick?
Others might chime in and have entirely different perspectives but I feel given it is signed by both, the price is not too bad. Of course it should be noted that the sugs are on a plate that has been stuck in place. Ultimately whether this is worth it comes down to whether you believe that you will get enjoyment from it with the added sigs. I doubt that it will maintain that price as more hit the market so look at it as an item to enjoy first and foremost.Halbarad wrote:
